weight

fig. 'with heavy heart' by Loui Jover

The heaviness of knowing your sheer disappointment in me.
The warm weight of your arm thrown over my stomach lazily in sleep.
One steals the air from my lungs, crushing me.
The other breathing life back into me.
Neither one gives me escape.
Perhaps, neither one I want to escape, for they are the only markers of your affection.
