cradle
via Saatchi Art
Barely used, your cage lies
In the corner of my room
Like a cradle whose tiny occupant
Never escaped the great stork's mouth.
Where do I put all my love down?
And so I bury you like I have buried
The others who came before you.
With a broken heart spilling out
All the love that went unfelt
Farewell, sweet friend.
May the flowers grow over you tomorrow.
May you float amongst the birds and
Sleep amongst the brightest of coral reefs.
May you know cosmic love greater than mine.
It's sad and beautiful at the same time, I'm sorry for your unfortunate loss dear.
